Few motorcycles changed the shape of things to come quite like the Suzuki Katana.
Unveiled at the Cologne Motorcycle Show in 1980, the GSX1100S was the work of German studio Target Design — Hans Muth, Jan Fellstrom and Hans-Georg Kasten. Its radical ED-2 design went from sketch to full-size model in barely six weeks and was refined in the Pininfarina wind tunnel in Italy.
When it was presented to Suzuki in Japan, its futuristic shape reportedly reminded the company president of Concorde. Suzuki put it into production with remarkably few changes.
Angular, controversial and unmistakable, the Katana helped redefine what a Japanese superbike could look like.
The Hand Held Dyno Katana Tee celebrates the original silver sword — one of the most influential motorcycle designs of the 1980s.

- Machine-wash cold, inside-out, on a gentle cycle with similar colours.
- Use mild detergent.
- Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not dry-clean.
- Hang-dry where practical, or tumble-dry on low.
- If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron with the garment inside-out.
- Never iron directly over the print.
Proper care helps prevent fading, cracking and shrinking.
