Tribute to motorcycle graphic artist Mick Ofield †

In 2023, I commissioned motorcycle graphic artist Mick Ofield to design the Hand Held Dyno logo and engine graphics to promote my bespoke motorcycle ignitions. The results are a range of genuine, hand-drawn images that indelibly depict some of the most appreciated objects of the 20th century—the motorcycles we love.

Sadly, in 2025, Mick passed away from cancer. This range is a tribute to his life's work.

I have chosen a heavy-duty 7 oz, 100% cotton tee (my wife warns—tell them to read the washing instructions!), so you have a tee that will last many rides to come.
Ducati Bevel Mille

In the final years of bevel-drive production, Ducati enlarged its desmodromic L-twin to 973 cc. The Mille used an 88 mm bore and 80 mm stroke, a revised crankshaft and Nikasil-coated aluminium cylinders, powering the last MHR and S2 models.

It was the ultimate production development of an engine family that began with the 750 GT, triumphed at Imola and carried Mike Hailwood to his remarkable 1978 Isle of Man TT comeback. When Mille production ended, so did the era of Ducati’s bevel-drive twins.

This T-shirt celebrates the biggest and final evolution of Ducati’s legendary bevel engine—rare, muscular and unmistakably the end of an era.

Care Instructions+−
  • Machine-wash cold, inside-out, on a gentle cycle with similar colours.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary.
  • Do not use fabric softener.
  • Do not dry-clean.
  • Hang-dry where practical, or tumble-dry on low.
  • If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron with the garment inside-out.
  • Never iron directly over the print.

Proper care helps prevent fading, cracking and shrinking.
