Some trivia about the Ducati Darmah
The Ducati bevel you could actually live with.
Introduced in 1977, the 900 SD Darmah took Ducati’s charismatic bevel-drive V-twin and wrapped it in a more refined, road-friendly package.
Styled by Leo Tartarini, its flowing tank, ducktail seat and red-and-white paintwork gave the Darmah an identity all its own. Even the name had attitude — Darmah was inspired by a tiger from the hugely popular Sandokan stories, hence the tiger emblem proudly displayed on the bike.
Underneath, it was pure Ducati: bevel-driven cams, desmodromic valves and that unmistakable 90-degree V-twin character. But with electronic ignition, electric start and improved electrics, the Darmah was built for riders who wanted Ducati performance without quite so much suffering.

- Machine-wash cold, inside-out, on a gentle cycle with similar colours.
- Use mild detergent.
- Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not dry-clean.
- Hang-dry where practical, or tumble-dry on low.
- If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron with the garment inside-out.
- Never iron directly over the print.
Proper care helps prevent fading, cracking and shrinking.
