Some trivia about the Ducati 350 Desmo
Where Ducati’s Desmo legend came to the street.
The Ducati 350 Desmo traces its roots to the late-1960s Mark 3D — one of the first production Ducatis to bring Fabio Taglioni’s desmodromic valve system from the racetrack onto the road.
Instead of relying on valve springs alone, its bevel-driven single-cylinder engine mechanically controlled both the opening and closing of the valves, allowing it to rev with the precision that would become a Ducati trademark.
By the early 1970s the 350 Desmo had evolved into a beautifully lean café racer, complete with clip-ons, single seat and, on the famous silver version, the nickname “Silver Shotgun.”
Light, elegant and mechanically exotic, the 350 Desmo helped establish the engineering identity Ducati still trades on today.

- Machine-wash cold, inside-out, on a gentle cycle with similar colours.
- Use mild detergent.
- Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not dry-clean.
- Hang-dry where practical, or tumble-dry on low.
- If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron with the garment inside-out.
- Never iron directly over the print.
Proper care helps prevent fading, cracking and shrinking.
